If two cars can devour Aussie distances better
Get ready to rumble. Tickford’s about to challenge old foe HSV and this is one fight that Don King would shave off his frizzly fuzz for, just to get his hands on the promoting rights. Forget Samson v Goliath, Arnie v Stallone, or Lewis v Tyson. This is the big one.
The battleground takes these big fell as haring over mountains and scooting across western plains. If there’s better pair of cars than the TS50 and R8 for doing it Aussie style, they’re not yet on sale. These two are, and they just live to devour distance. No matter how far the horizon and whether the way is straight or bendy flat or steep, they simply flex their brawny muscle, plant their size 16s hard on the tar and go for it.
Tickford has tired of playing pattacake with just 5,0 liters and 220kw against the Clubsport’s 5,7 liters and 255kW. So, to belatedly bore it up HSV, Tickford has stroked the ageing, but always receptive, Windsor V8 to 5.6 liters and Tickford’s still just a tad shy for power, it claims 500 Nm max torque and asks the 475 Nm HSV. “Who’s kicking sand in whose face now, buddy?”
